Scots in National Business Awards final

A QUARTET of Scottish companies and business personalities will today be named as finalists in the National Business Awards, for which The Scotsman is the media partner.

Response, the call centre business owned by Sir David Murray, and Business Stream, Scottish Water's commercial offshoot, have both been shortlisted in the "transformational change of the year" award. Iomart, the Glasgow-based website hosting company, has been named in the small and medium-sized enterprise of the year category.

And Nick Price, managing director of Edinburgh-based recruitment company Bright Purple Resourcing, has been put through to the final of the entrepreneur of the year award. In February, Price told The Scotsman he wants to treble turnover to 100 million in the next three years.
