Edinburgh-based VistaBee, part of Scottish Enterprise’s high growth start-up scheme, secured the sought-after prototypes
because it also works in the United States.

The entrepreneur behind the company, Steve Reilly, says that wearable devices are a “game changer” in the area of digital video-making.

He is using the glasses, which are not due for general release until later this year, to allow clients in the property business to give video tours of homes, in some cases streamed in real time to prospective buyers.

Reilly said: “There’s something really immediate about the footage. It’s like you are there, a direct point of view.”

VistaBee is also using Google Glass to make content for the food and news industries.
