A Scottish health and safety specialist has struck a deal to distribute revolutionary door handles that automatically dispense sanitising hand gel.

West Lothian-based Guthrie Group will oversee the Pure Hold contract for Scotland following the signing of an agreement with the Hampshire-based manufacturer.

Pure Hold was established to develop the eponymous hygiene ­handle and help improve general hygiene compliance in hospitals. The device has also found applications in other industries, including food processing.
