Scots family aiming for world ploughing titles

This week Scots tractors and ploughs will be readying to depart for the World Ploughing Championships in Sweden.

Aiming to add to his two World Reversible titles is Andrew Mitchell senior; his son Andrew - who has one world title - goes in the Conventional class. The pair, from Ballinshoe near Forfar, are representing Scotland as a team for the fourth time.

Joining them will be Scottish judge Rab Birrell from Thornton and John MacRobert from Banff as reserve judge. This will be the 58th World Championships and the first in Sweden since 1993.
