The firm – which specialises in finding local candidates for multi-national companies outside their home territories – is moving its 45 employees from Queenslie to new offices in Stepps with three times the current space. This will allow it to bring in additional sales staff and recruiters, with up to six new hires expected this year and as many as eight in the following 12 months.

The expansion is being supported by a five-figure Regional Selective Assistance grant from Scottish Enterprise, which is backing the company’s international development efforts. Solutions Driven currently generates annual turnover of £2.7 million, with about 60 per cent coming from clients abroad.

Chief executive Gavin Speirs said the company anticipates revenue growth in the region of 15 per cent in the current year, followed by a boost of up to 20 per cent the following year. There is particular demand to fill posts in manufacturing and engineering, two of its four core areas of expertise.

Speirs said: “The support we’ve been able to access from Scottish Enterprise will be another catalyst for our international growth and we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for our business and our customers.”

Set up in 2000, Solutions Driven has developed an online platform called Talenytics, which combines behavioural analysis with search software tools to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of applicants. These are matched against a client’s requirements to produce a targeted list of candidates for the final interview stages.

In the past 12 months the Glasgow firm has secured more than 200 appointments for a range of international clients. Examples include a business development director for an electronics company moving into Scandinavia, and a vice-president of product management for an automotive parts manufacturer in the United States.
