Rutherglen business park lands first deal
Plot C at Rutherglen Links Business Park – a 12-acre development by urban regeneration venture Clyde Gateway – has been bought for speculative build purposes by the commercial property division of Harris Finance.
It will invest some £2.5 million on the site to build 30,000sq ft of speculative industrial/hybrid units which have the potential to create 55 jobs. Harris Finance is headquartered within the Clyde Gateway boundary and already has a track record in speculatively building commercial properties as well as refurbishing existing buildings, while bringing more than 50 jobs to the area to date.

Ross Harris, speaking on behalf of the developer, said: “The east end of Glasgow has been transformed thanks to the work of Clyde Gateway and we are excited at the prospect of encouraging further regeneration and job creation in the area through our own speculative investment in high quality industrial units at Rutherglen Links.”
Harris Finance will initially undertake the speculative development of two units.
