RNIB welcomes lawyers' site

Internet: Maclay Murray & Spens has become the first UK law firm to have its website accredited by the Royal National Institute of the Blind after meeting rigorous criteria for accessibility.

RNIB web accessibility consultant Bim Egan said: "It’s really good to witness a company in the legal sector so enthusiastic and committed to making its website accessible to everyone."

Management: Almost half of managers in smaller firms would find it difficult to trust staff if they worked from home, according to a report today.

The business communications company Inter-Tel Europe noted that managers said they did not know how to monitor the performance of home-workers or how much it would cost to support them.

Telecoms: Mobile phone group Nokia saw its total market share increase in the first three months on the back of strong sales in the Asian region, a key report has revealed.

The company’s share increased to 30.4 per cent from 28.8 per cent over the same three months last year, according to market researcher Gartner. But it added that its operations in the US declined.
