The business, acquired from Fife-based property manager Destiny Scotland, employs four people and is headed by managing director Stuart Montgomery.

“As well as the opportunity to tap into the festival market, which sees approximately 250,000 visitors paying premium rates for accommodation in the capital, it also enables us to offer short-term lets all year round,” Montgomery said.

Rettie managing director Simon Rettie added: “We now see great potential in developing the business, confidently moving into new areas of the rental market to expand and develop our brand. In this instance we have chosen to take over an established business which will certainly benefit from our reputation for the highest level of property marketing.”
