The company, which employs 80 people across its Glasgow and Edinburgh offices, said the new financial support would provide it with flexible access to working capital as it continues to supply a skilled workforce to growing sectors of the Scottish economy.

The £7 million asset-based lending working capital facility has been agreed with Bank of Scotland.

Brightwork chief executive Derek May said: “We are a very ambitious business and highly-oriented towards further growth throughout the UK. This financing facility from Bank of Scotland will permit us to fulfil those ambitions and will help us build on the growth we have enjoyed to date.”

Andy Seaton, relationship director for commercial banking at Bank of Scotland, added: “Brightwork has recorded strong year-on-year growth and the team is focused on building on this success as it looks to use its consultants’ contacts, experience and expertise to broaden its reach into new markets.

“A key sector for the business is the food and drink industry, supporting mainly leading drinks brands across Scotland. This working capital facility gives the business real confidence to continue its expansion since the funding can be increased as the business grows.”
