£23m pay day for oil refinery tycoon

INEOS founder Jim Ratcliffe paid himself and his fellow shareholders a €27 million (£23m) dividend after the co-owner of Grangemouth's oil refinery swung back into the black last year.

The chemicals giant - which was the UK's largest private firm until its head office was moved to Switzerland to cut its tax bill - made a profit of €86.1m compared with a €456.1m loss in 2009, its accounts revealed.
