Primark to extend opening hours at all Scottish stores with midnight trading at Edinburgh Fort Kinnaird

The discount clothing and homewares chain, which does not sell online, said it would cater for the anticipated higher customer demand during the final countdown to Christmas.
It is reopening stores on Friday that were affected by the Scottish Government’s level four trading restrictions on non-essential retail premises.

The flagship Edinburgh Princes Street store will remain open until 10pm every day apart from Sunday, when it closes at 7pm. Meanwhile, the Edinburgh Fort Kinnaird outlet is opening until midnight every weekday.
The firm said there would be “strict” physical distancing protocols, limits on the number of customers allowed in store, hand sanitisation stations on entry, screens or cubicles at tills, the use of face masks in-store and increased in-store cleaning.
Primark chief executive Paul Marchant said: “We are delighted to re-open all of our stores in Scotland on December 11, with longer shopping hours to give our customers more time to safely do their festive shopping.
