Bishopbriggs Village Nursery, a non-profit organisation that has been in the heart of the local community for nearly 50 years, is now based next to Bishopbriggs Community Church on Park Avenue.

The new location offers even more outdoor space for curious youngsters to safely investigate their environment and enjoy time spent learning with their peers.

The nursery, which has a maximum capacity for 24 children, is run by a fantastic team of dedicated staff members and managed by a committee of volunteer parents.

“Our setting provides a safe, nurturing and exciting space for children to grow, learn and develop, including direct access to outdoor space.”“Our setting provides a safe, nurturing and exciting space for children to grow, learn and develop, including direct access to outdoor space.”

As spokesperson said: “We are in partnership with East Dunbartonshire Council, Bishopbriggs Village Nursery offers fully funded Early Learning and Childcare for children aged 3-5 years old.

“We have recently moved from Cadder South Hall to a new space on Park Avenue, next to Bishopbriggs Community Church.

“The nursery looks amazing but even before they had this fantastic space it was still the best nursery for my children. The staff show so much support and love towards the little people in their care and go above and beyond for them and their families! Can’t recommend enough or thank them enough for the fantastic start they gave to my children,” said one parent.

Another added: “Wow! It looks fabulous. You’ve all done a brilliant job creating a nurturing, inviting nursery. Take care!”

The nursery is unique due to its small capacity, allowing for strong relationships to be built between children, families and staff. The nursery really has a family feel to it.

Sessions operate Monday to Friday 8.30am till 2.30pm in line with East Dunbartonshire Council terms. Snack and hot lunches are provided.

The nursery follows the Curriculum for Excellence, the early level of the curriculum which runs throughout a child's time in nursery and into Primary 1 with the aim of helping children gain the knowledge, skills and attributes needed for life in the 21st century. Following the curriculum will help to prepare and support your child as they progress into primary school.

An active committee helps to keep the children at Bishopbriggs Village Nursery enjoying new experiences and treats.
