Plexus wins £1m Bowleven contract

Oil and gas engineering firm Plexus has won a £1 million contract to supply equipment to Edinburgh-based explorer Bowleven.

Aberdeen-based Plexus will provide the well heads for use off the coast of Cameroon, in West Africa.

The high-pressure, high-temperature system will be used on two wells in the Etinde area and the contract could be extended for a further two wells.

Ben van Bilderbeek, chief executive at Aim-quoted Plexus, said: “Winning further work from operators who are familiar with our equipment and the operational, safety, and time saving advantages it can deliver is always highly satisfying.

“The contract also allows us to make further in roads into the lucrative and highly active West African oil and gas arena, a market which we are keen to build our position in.”
