@pizza Edinburgh to add two restaurants and drive-thru

Edinburgh’s number one pizza brand is crowdfunding to help launch a major expansion in the city.

Starting from just £10 you can be part of the next success story for @pizza in the city; plans include two brand new restaurants and a first-in-the-UK drive-thru pizza parlour.

@pizza in Charlotte Lane has been rated the top pizza in the city for the past two years by Tripadvisor users.

Now it will open a second, brand new restaurant on the Royal Mile before the end of 2020, with a third restaurant planned in the new St James Quarter, bringing the hand-crafted taste of @pizza to thousands.

They’ve already attracted significant six-figure investment, but want the people of Edinburgh to be part of the story behind their latest venture – drive-thru pizza available in minutes.

Coming very soon to a yet-to-be revealed major shopping venue in the city, this is the social distanced way to get all your @pizza flavour in a fraction of the time.

Using the latest pizza ovens, drive-thru orders will be placed, cooked and packaged in a couple of minutes – matching the average waiting times typical of major burger chain drive-thru. Don’t expect traffic jams though, as their innovative ovens can cook up to 10 pizzas in a minute!

Who fancies free pizza?

Sign up to the @pizza crowdfunder and the mouth-watering rewards are there for life. Every investor will not only help one of the city’s best brands get even bigger, there will be lifetime rewards – depending on the level of your investment – including 25 per cent off future food bills, a free pizza on your birthday and the chance to create your very own pizza masterpiece to be added to @pizza’s menu.

The firm, which is also ranked number one restaurant in Birmingham, has big plans.

“Consumers crave new experiences and the UK pizza restaurant market, which is worth £5.2bn, lacks differentiation, quality, consistency and value; which will impact restaurant viability in the ‘new-norm’,” says Rupert Lyle, co-founder of @pizza. “Our drive-thru restaurants will offer all of these attributes with the added convenience of the flexibility to enjoy pizza exactly how you want it.”

@pizza’s menu rejects traditional structure, allowing the customer to design their own pizza from the base up with a choice of over 64,000 combinations – and this all comes at a fixed price.

“Gone are the days of paying £3 for four slices of mushroom or waiting 30 minutes to get a pizza,” says Bhasker Dhir, co-founder of @pizza. “@pizza is fast, efficient and high quality. The business has been built for scalability to ensure quality and consistency remain as we scale up in manageable steps, building clusters of restaurants.”
