Petrofac seals £30m contracts

ENERGY services giant Petrofac yesterday unveiled a pair of contracts with French oil and gas producer GDF Suez worth £30 million in total. The deal is expected to create about 100 offshore jobs over five years based out of Petrofac’s operations in Aberdeen and working on projects including Cygnus in the Southern North Sea.

Meanwhile, Aberdeen-based technology firm Plexus has signed its fourth contract with drilling firm Transocean to make well heads. The deal is worth £2m.
