In a detailed piece of research by Daniel Stewart & Co, analysts confirmed the total number of cord blood samples stored for the whole of 2009 increased by 11 per cent. The medical procedures are beyond me, but Daniel Stewart is confident that the company may continue to increase its sales across Europe, notwithstanding challenging conditions in some of its markets.

The company is in the vanguard of this area and could also benefit from the operational gearing that will come from the integration of a number of acquisitions over the past couple of years. The research note is detailed in its support of Cryo-Save's business model and, while there are always risks with any company involved in the vanguard of medical science, this firm appears to be a well-managed operation in a rapidly growing area.

Broker says SELL

SEYMOUR Pierce has maintained its "sell" rating on Enterprise Inns, along with a 130p price target. The broker said: "We reiterate our cautious view on Enterprise ahead of the renewal of the 1 billion senior debt facility due May 2011. The Enterprise share price may have benefited recently from refinancing at JD Wetherspoon."
