Nicki Sturzaker, who received an undisclosed pay-off in July after abruptly leaving her post as head of corporate and consumer at Big Partnership’s Edinburgh office, has re-surfaced at a rival PR firm. Sturzaker said she wanted to take her career in a “different strategic direction”. She is now providing maternity cover at the Edinburgh consumer PR company Stripe Communications.

Scott White – who rejected the job at Big before Sturzaker was appointed – is joining Legal & General Investments as head of strategy and communications. White led the comms team through Standard Life’s flotation in 2006, but had a less happy spell at Martin Currie. He turned round Royal London’s media operation and ends a short period out of work with the move to L&GI. He had also been in line for a posting at Cala Homes.

Edinburgh-based technology consultancy FarrPoint has brought on board Jan Miszalowski as a senior consultant. Miszalowski joins from engineering consultancy Atkins.
