Old Course Hotel in St Andrews announces re-opening date

One of Fife’s leading hotels has announced its re-opening date.

The five-star Old Course Hotel in St Andrews is planning to open its doors on Monday, May 17.

This will include all of its bars and restaurants, plus its spa, fitness centre and pro shops.

The announcement comes as the Scottish Government starts to ease lockdown restrictions.

An email to guests said: “We very much hope to be able to reopen parts, or all of the resort before this date if the rules allow, so we will be monitoring the guidance and let you know if anything changes.”

The Duke’s golf course is currently open for two players from up to two households, and takeaway food and drinks from the clubhouse.
