Ogilvy joins Lloyds TSB Scotland board

JULIA Ogilvy, the former managing director of Edinburgh jeweller Hamilton & Inches, has been appointed a non-executive director of Lloyds TSB Scotland.

The Scottish businesswoman of the year 2001, Ogilvy now chairs the "Scotscorps" working group, encouraging young Scots to better serve their communities.

She left H&I in April after ten years to devote time to a number of charities.

Susan Rice, Lloyds’ chief executive in Scotland, said Ogilvy’s addition to the board will bring a combination of small business skills and an awareness of social issues: "She has an outstanding business record.

Her skills at customer service, especially in a retail environment, will be a great asset to us."
