OceanTools staff numbers to soar

OceanTools, an Aberdeen-based maker of components for underwater remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), yesterday unveiled plans to raise its headcount from eight to 20 after building a £1 million head office in the Granite City.

Turnover at the company, which was launched in 1997, grew from 1m in 2009 to 1.5m in 2010.

Managing director Kevin Parker said: "Building our new headquarters is a key step in the OceanTools expansion strategy."
