Nissan targets defence engineers

CAR giant Nissan yesterday launched a recruitment drive to fill up to 200 posts for engineers and maintenance technicians.

The company has opened a website for prospective employees to find out more about its plant in Sunderland.

Nissan said it will aim to match a number of vacancies with skilled engineers facing redundancy from the defence industry.
