New vice-president for Senergy

FAST-GROWING energy services firm Senergy has beefed up its senior management team as it gears up for overseas expansion.

The Aberdeen-based company, founded by chief executive James McCallum, has raided drilling contractor Transocean to hire Vivien Broughton as its latest vice-president.

Broughton, who worked as an oil well engineer before moving into human resources ten years ago, will help the Aberdeen-based company recruit and train staff for its growth.

Senergy was founded in 2005 and has grown quickly through acquisitions. It now employs about 500 staff in Scotland and at offices in the Americas, Australia, the Middle East, Norway and South East Asia.

McCallum said: “Vivien’s technical experience in drilling prior to moving into human resources gives her a unique understanding of our business as we enter the next stage of Senergy’s rapid global growth.”

Senergy, which was formed through the merger of Reservoir Management and Xcavo, has already taken over a series of firms, including Floyd & Associates, Isis Energy and Production Geoscience. It has expanded from oil and gas into renewables.
