New hires bolster Swip real estate team

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has boosted its 43-strong real estate team with the appointment of five investment managers following an increase in SWIP’s real estate assets under management to £8.5 billion.

Joining SWIP are Oliver Lord, who joins from F&C REIT Asset Management where he was assistant fund manager; Elaine Hughes, who arrives from CB Richard Ellis where she was director of the professional services team in Edinburgh; Nicola Campbell, who was previously with Hunter Property Fund Management; Tom Elviss, who joins from DTZ; and Veronica Gallo-Alvarez, who held senior positions at Invista Real Estate Investment Management.

Malcolm Naish, SWIP’s director of real estate, said: “As we continue to grow, it is important that we resource our business appropriately.”
