New group to boost overseas business

A NEW group to help companies do business overseas is being established by the UK government.

The announcement came as UK trade minister Lord Green visited business groups in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Scottish Secretary Michael Moore, who will lead the group, said: "I want to see more small and medium sized Scottish companies trading overseas. It is vital to Scotland's economic prospects that this happens. The UK trade minister has heard from Scottish business how the government can help them trade across the world."
