Netplay wins STV jackpot contract

INTERACTIVE gaming company Netplay TV has signed a two-year, six-day-a-week TV deal with STV to broadcast ChallengeJackpot. com, one of its key branded TV shows.

The agreement follows a successful trial during the final quarter of 2009.

David Archer, the managing director of STV Ventures, said that an Ofcom ruling in June 2009 allowed STV to "explore new revenue-generating options".

Last September, Lancaster-based Netplay, one of the largest interactive TV gaming companies in the world, signed a five-year deal with Channel Five for the broadcast of its brand.
