Morrison to develop £3.5m learning centre

MORRISON Construction, the Scottish building arm of housebuilding giant Galliford Try, has won a £3.5 million contract to build a learning-disability resource centre in Livingston.

West Lothian Council authorised the firm to develop the 1,550sqm purpose-built centre on Craigshill East Road to replace the listed historic Clarendon House in Linlithgow, as well as the Blackburn Day Centre, built 40 years ago.

The energy-efficient centre will open at the end of the year.
