More firms and jobs for Clyde Gateway’s Rutherglen Links Business Park

A trio of firms has moved into Clyde Gateway’s Rutherglen Links Business Park bringing 34 jobs to the area.

Bathroom retailer Bath Giant has opened a showroom and trade counter, Plumbstore has also opened a bathroom showroom and trade facility, while ice-cream maker Equis is establishing its new expanded production operation at the park, in premises four times the size of its previous facility in Hamilton.

Clyde Gateway created the multi-million-pound park on previously vacant and derelict land, in a bid to bring significant development opportunities and jobs to the area.

All five industrial plots of the 5.6-acre business park were acquired by property developer Harris Finance.

Ross Harris of Harris Finance said: “Rutherglen Links Business Park is going from strength to strength. We’ve attracted some very established brand names to the park and having three more dynamic businesses relocate here further cements the huge success of the park.”

Ian Manson, chief executive of Clyde Gateway, added: “Despite economic uncertainty as a result of the pandemic, the popularity of Rutherglen Links stands firm and we are delighted to welcome Bath Giant, Plumbstore and Equis here and assist with their growth plans.

“The provision of quality business premises coupled with convenient transport links and access to a thriving traditional town centre are just some of the reasons why companies are supporting their staff by locating here and confirming Clyde Gateway as an attractive business location in challenging times.”

Within the business park is the office building One Rutherglen Links – home to engineering and technology services provider SPIE and Clear Business Water Services. The site is also home to the likes of Ford Retail, Screwfix, TransCanada Turbines and Eurocell.
