Moneysupermarket MD joins Sainsbury’s Bank
Jones, who has previously worked at Royal Bank of Scotland and Virgin Money, will lead the newly-formed customer division at the Edinburgh-based bank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of supermarket chain Sainsbury’s.
“I’m delighted to be joining a bank with such rich customer heritage, and that’s all about helping people get the most out of life by getting the most out of their money,” said Jones, who will join the lender’s board of directors.

Sainsbury’s Bank chief executive Peter Griffiths said the firm has “significant growth potential” due to its access to the 25 million people who shop with the grocer each week.
He added: “This is an important appointment for the bank as we continue to put the customer at the heart of everything we do, from product design to customer experience.
“David shares this commitment and our values, which is what makes him an excellent fit and I look forward to welcoming him to the team.”
