Mitie reports healthy pipeline

Outsourcing firm Mitie said it expects to continue growing organically after a good start to its financial year.

The company said its private sector sales pipeline remains buoyant. It recently won a waste management and cleaning contract with restaurant and pub group Mitchells & Butlers, worth £38 million over three years.

It has also added “a number of contracts with values ranging between £5m and £10m”, it revealed. These include deals with BAE Systems; Cineworld and Kellogg’s.

It said: “The financial year has started well and we have a growing order book as well as a strong pipeline of sales opportunities. We are positive about the range of outsourcing opportunities across our key markets and confident that we will continue to build on our long track record of sustainable profitable growth.”
