Miller plans new role in community service

GVA Grimley's Nikola Miller has been seconded to work with Planning Aid for Scotland, an organisation that offers free help to individuals and communities that want to become more involved in the planning process.

Miller – who works as a planner with the property consultancy – will manage the delivery of all the organisation's ten training programmes to communities to give them the tools to be able to engage in the planning process. Her secondment will start on 1 February and will last for 14 months.

Petra Biberbach, chief executive at Planning Aid for Scotland, said: "We welcome Nikola's secondment to the team and believe we will gain enormously from the transfer of skills and experience from the commercial sector.

"Nikola has been a valuable volunteer and I am delighted she is now able to work for us."
