Eleanor Mackay has been named social media manager, joined in the publicity department by PR consultant Anna Gunn, while Anne Brown arrives as company accountant. It comes as the firm has seen a 30 per cent increase in staff over the last year.

Chief executive Tricia Fox, who founded the business in 2002, said: "We are currently the fastest growing agency in the Tayside region and we are now firming up plans to expand our 'bricks and mortar' footprint geographically with a three-year plan that will see us firmly established as one of Scotland's largest independent agencies.

"The appointments of Anna, Eleanor and Anne bring us a step closer to achieving that goal. All of them bring valuable experience, different talents and expertise to the company, which will enable us to provide a much-strengthened offering to our clients, in addition to making sure the company's operations are sufficiently robust to support our growth ambitions."

Volpa is a full-service marketing agency with publicity, creative and digital departments, and specialises in the tourism, hospitality and food and drink sectors. Earlier this year Fox took part in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses scale-up course aimed at supporting and developing high-growth businesses in the UK.
