Magazine Marketing Company goes bust

WHOLESALE magazine distributor Magazine Marketing Company, which handled distribution for more than 400 titles, has gone into administration and ceased trading.

The Woking-based group was founded in 1988 and employed some 50 staff. Its direct customers were wholesalers, which in the UK comprised Edinburgh-based Menzies Distribution and Smith News as well as a number in the independent sector.

Joint administrators are Sallyanne Pitt and Paul Clark of MCR.
