Macfarlane Group, the Glasgow-based packaging firm, will save £600,000 a year after signing a pair of property deals south of the Border.

The company has transferred the lease on its property in Coventry to a third party and will now sub-let the facility. The firm has also closed three units in west London that it took over when it bought Allpoint Packaging in 2008, moving the business to its existing premises.
