Luxury Scots fashion brand weaves into prestigious Walpole accelerator

Edinburgh luxury textile brand Araminta Campbell has been selected as the only Scottish inclusion for Walpole’s latest Brands of Tomorrow programme.

The prestigious annual scheme offers workshops and mentoring to 12 emerging fashion brands to help them prepare for the next stage of growth.

Araminta Campbell, founded in 2014, works with in-house weavers and Scottish mills to create bespoke textiles for private and commercial clients across the world.

The company last year launched several high-profile commissions, including bespoke tweed and tartan for the newly refurbished Fife Arms Hotel and soft furnishings for the Royal Yacht Britannia’s floating hotel Fingal.

Its designs take inspiration from the Scottish landscape, while each "one-of-a-kind" piece in the brand's Signature collection is handwoven from fine, undyed British alpaca by weavers in the Leith studio.

Founder Araminta Birse-Stewart said: “It is great to be recognised as a successful emerging brand in the luxury sector, and we look forward to further expanding the global reach of our Scottish textiles with this support.”
