Lindbaek joins Valiant Petroleum

NORTH Sea oil and gas firm Valiant Petroleum yesterday unveiled Norwegian industry veteran Jannik Lindbaek as a non-executive director.

Chief executive Peter Buchanan said the appointment underlined Valiant’s commitment to building its business in Norway. He added: “We look forward to benefiting from his significant experience and insights.”

Lindbaek has held a number of high-profile roles in the energy industry during his 35-year career. He is a former chairman of Statoil, Gaz de France Norway and Saga Petroleum.
