Law firm opens office in Paris

Pinsent Masons, the law firm which acquired Scottish peer McGrigors in May, has opened an office in Paris, the firm’s second base on the continent following the launch of a Munich office in July.

Ewan Alexander, head of the Edinburgh office, said a presence in France would further help Scottish firms looking to expand into overseas markets.

Paris is a key centre for financial services and has a significant strategic position in terms of investment into Africa within the energy and infrastructure sectors,” he said.
“Our aim now is to help open doors for ambitious Scottish businesses who want to tap those markets.”

The Paris office has nine partners offering services including merger and acquisition advice.
