AlASTAIR Barbour, who stepped down as a senior partner with KPMG in Scotland earlier this year, has joined FTSE-100 insurance group RSA as a non-executive director.

RSA chairman John Napier said Barbour had an “extensive knowledge of the insurance industry and its challenges”. Barbour spent 36 years with KPMG and was latterly head of the financial services team in Scotland.
