Keep games firms' tax relief, says MSP

JOE FitzPatrick, Dundee West SNP MSP, has called on the Chancellor to honour Labour's promise of tax relief for computer games developers in next month's emergency Budget.

Alistair Darling unveiled the measure in his final Budget and now industry leaders are demanding that George Osborne matches the pledge.

Richard Wilson, chief executive of trade body Tiga, said: "The video games industry has the potential to create highly skilled jobs and export earnings, and invest in further research and development."
