John Lewis sales growth slows

John Lewis saw sales growth slow to 7.2 per cent, year-on-year, across its stores in the week to 9 October, down from an average of 11.8 per cent growth in the last ten weeks.

Two of the partnership's three Scottish branches recorded sales rises, with Aberdeen up 1.7 per cent and Edinburgh 0.9 per cent higher. Glasgow was 1.3 per cent lower.
