Job moves as ITF plans expansion

Oil and gas technology company ITF announced a trio of job changes this week as it gears up for international expansion.

Underwater design expert David Liddle becomes strategic technology director, while new operations director Dorothy Burke and promoted technology manager Keith Mackie will lead a team of four analysts at the Aberdeen firm.

Liddle said: "This is an important year for ITF as we establish a new office in the Middle East and continue international expansion in other key regions."

Red Spider, a remote technology specialist in the oil and gas industry, has appointed David Allan as chief operating officer to complete its management team.

Chartered chemist Allan has worked for more than 17 years in the oil chemicals sector, and joins the Aberdeenshire company from Intertek Testing Services.

Renewable energy expert Nigel Benson joined property specialist Bell Ingram's microgeneration department this week.

He will develop the Perth company's service for land and property owners across Scotland, helping them produce sustainable power which can be sold back to the National Grid.

Benson will use expertise gained at the Energy Saving Trust to advise Bell Ingram's clients how their sites could generate income from schemes such as wind, hydro, biomass and solar.

Engineering contractor Van Elle has hired a new business development manager for the Scottish and Irish regions. Paul McIntyre joins the company from Balfour Beatty Ground Engineering and will be based in Glasgow.

Other movers in a busy week include lawyer Peter Sinclair, who joined Edinburgh commercial property law firm Bell & Scott as head of corporate, and Grazyna Swiercz, the new client solution director at Glasgow software and services firm Response.

Aberdeen Asset Management has brought in Belgian chartered surveyor Marc van Heddeghem as a member of the advisory committee of its European Balanced Property Fund.
