JD Wetherspoon not keen on rights issue
DRINKS group JD Wetherspoon is thought unlikely to flag a rights issue to help restructure its debt when it issues a trading update next Wednesday.
The group, which has about 40 pubs in Scotland, has previously not ruled out a cash call to address its 435 million of bank debt. But City analysts said yesterday they believed Wetherspoon, whose update is for the quarter to tomorrow, will say a rights issue remains the least favoured option for a refinancing.
