

The London-based firm said Gilbert had been a long-standing supporter of the business since it was founded in 2015 and “understands our partnership approach with clients”.
Gilbert was a co-founder and then chief executive of Aberdeen Asset Management which eventually merged with Standard Life in 2017.

Hide AdHe is currently chairman of digital bank Revolut and senior independent non-executive director at Glencore, as well as chairman of Toscafund. In June, Gilbert was named as the chairman of the Oil & Gas Technology Centre (OGTC).
