IndigoVision loses chief technical officer

SECURITY software and digital CCTV company IndigoVision has lost its chief technical officer, it said yesterday.

Barry Keepence left the Edinburgh-based group with immediate effect after more than a decade to "pursue other interests", it said in a statement.

Keepence said: "After over ten years with IndigoVision, I feel that I have reached a point where I have contributed all I can to the development of the business and the time has come for me to seek a new career challenge. I leave the business in safe hands and with a bright future."

Chief executive Oliver Vellacott, who founded the firm 16 years ago, will manage the technical development team while a successor is sought.

He said: "We are sorry to lose Barry. The board thanks him for his contribution to the business over the last decade and wishes him every future success."

IndigoVision's shares lost 2 per cent to close at 505p on the news.

A spokesman for Brewin Dolphin, its house broker, said: "It can be unsettling when one of the executive directors resigns, but the company's share price has moved pretty modestly in a market that's in a pretty dire state at the moment. It looks as though this news hasn't really ruffled investors."

IndigoVision makes internet-based video security systems.
