The Edinburgh-based firm, which specialises in sourcing accounting and finance staff for small firms and not-for-profit organisations, is also establishing a team in Glasgow, having made its first hire focused solely on the city.

Managing director Kirsty Mackenzie, who founded the company in 2012, said she is aiming to take on a further eight recruitment consultants by the end of next year following a doubling in turnover to £600,000 last year.

“During the past year we opened a division focused on temporary staff, which has contributed significantly to our year-end figures,” said Mackenzie, who in February brought in industry veteran Paul Atkinson as a director.

Atkinson, a founding partner of investment firm Par Equity, founded IT recruitment business Direct Resources in 1995, and four years later sold it to Nasdaq-listed Mastech Systems for £3.4 million. He also launched RecruitmentScotland.com, sold to TMP Worldwide in 2000 for £9m.

Mackenzie, who worked for FTSE 250 recruiter Michael Page before setting up iMultiply, said: “Repeat business was a big contributor to our rise in turnover. We’re an ambitious business, and in that way we have a lot in common with the entrepreneurial companies we serve.”
