Flat rental portal Citylets.co.uk has flagged strong 2011 results, with visitor traffic and enquiries to agents said to be up by more than a fifth.

The web business, which was set up in 1999, remains under independent ownership and is managed in Edinburgh by its founding team. It boasts some 50,000 rental transactions per year in Scotland, involving in excess of 400 agents.

Founder and managing director Thomas Ashdown said: “We’re delighted to maintain our strong growth trajectory with a 22 per cent rise in traffic in 2011.”
