Hogg quits City watchdog to join RGA

Former Scottish Equitable marketing director Ken Hogg has quit the Financial Services Authority (FSA) to join global reinsurer RGA as UK chief actuary and financial officer.

Hogg was director of the insurance sector at the FSA and represented the City watchdog in its dealings with external industry organisations including trade associations and professional bodies.

He left the FSA yesterday after 18 months at the regulator and starts at RGA in June.

In 20 years at Aegon-owned Scottish Equitable, Hogg filled roles including marketing director, director of industry development at Aegon UK and sales and marketing director at Aegon India.

He said: "I am looking forward to returning to the industry and helping RGA and their clients manage their way through the challenges ahead."
