The funding from Bank of Scotland will also allow Edinburgh-based Highland Experience Tours to recruit additional staff and upgrade its customer facilities.

Founded in 2005 with a single coach, the firm provides one day, multi-day and private trips around Scotland. Popular destinations include Glencoe, Loch Ness and the Highlands.

The firm now boasts a fleet of 30 vehicles, including the six latest additions which will be used to open up the tour route to “areas of the country yet to be explored”.

Michael Bremner, managing director of Highland Experience Tours, said: “We’re constantly looking for new ways to develop our tour offering and are confident that this latest investment will allow us to meet these goals.”
