Highcross confirms Waverley Gate deal

PROPERTY fund manager Highcross yesterday confirmed it had bought Waverley Gate, the landmark former General Post Office building in Edinburgh city centre.

The firm is understood to have paid about 30 million for the 213,000sq ft office, which it bought from accountancy firm BDO Stoy Hayward.

BDO is acting as joint administrative receiver of Castlemore (Edinburgh).

Joint letting agent Montagu Evans said recent occupiers include clothing retailer H&M, construction group Balfour Beattie and NHS Lothian.
