Harry’s game: Electricals firm lends spark to Invictus event

PRINCE Harry’s sporting event for wounded soldiers has secured a new backer in the form of fast-growing electrical products wholesaler Yesss Electrical.

The firm, which has 12 branches north of the Border, said it hoped its support for the Paralympic-style Invictus Games, which kick off in London in September, would open up training opportunities for those leaving the armed forces.

Andy Singleton, one of the firm’s founding directors, said: “In becoming a supporting partner of the first Invictus Games, we want to demonstrate our support and gratitude.”

The Yorkshire-based group was launched in 2012 and now has 84 branches across the UK, employing about 750 people, with annual sales of more than £150 million.

Invictus Games chairman Sir Keith Mills said the company “will not only be a valued partner in the run-up to the games, but also help us deliver on our legacy of supporting wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women”.
