Golf fan David Rae will be networking on the links

BBC sports presenter Rob Bonnet has teamed up with a Scots entrepreneur to launch a networking organisation based around the game of golf.

Networkingolf will allow groups of 24 business owners to play twice a year at Kinsgbarns, Mar Hall and the Carrick on Loch Lomond at reduced rates.

Glasgow-based businessman David Rae - a former footballer who played alongside Rangers manager Walter Smith - hopes the events will give clients the chance to clinch deals.

Bonnet will then host post-golf entertainment, including question and answer sessions with former Ryder Cup player Ronan Rafferty. Bonnet will also host similar events in the south of England using the courses at Sunningdale, Wentworth and Walton Heath.

Rae said: "As a business owner myself, I know of the need to focus on a networking strategy that lets you meet other business owners regularly - as opposed to a 'free for all'. We are combining the best of traditional networking with a new corporate golf multi-day model not limited to a one-off event."
